AppForeman checks the software that runs small trade businesses: scheduling, quoting, invoicing and payments apps such as Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceM8, and the AI phone receptionists now sold alongside them.
We write for the owner of a one-to-ten-person business in HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, lawn care, pest control or general handyman work, who wants to know what a tool will really cost before handing over a card.
What we do differently
- Every price is read on the vendor's own pricing page, from a US connection, on a stated date. We keep the page text and a screenshot of what we saw. We never copy prices from review sites or app-store listings.
- We turn price lists into what a crew pays. A plan priced "per user" or "per job" means little until you know your crew size. Our tables show the monthly cost for 1, 3, 5 and 10 people.
- We show the small print in the vendor's words: billing terms, what the trial includes, card fees.
- When a number changes, we log it with the old and new figure and the date we saw the change.
Who we are
AppForeman is a small independent desk. Pages are written and checked by the AppForeman desk; we don't put a made-up expert's face on a page. Our method is on the How we check page, and how we pay for the site is on How we earn.
No software company has paid for a review, a placement or a ranking on this site.
